New Boston Residence

This project included the design of a patio area surrounding a new hot tub as well as a redeveloped front entry.  At the request of the client, the front walkway was designed to draw visitors towards the front door rather than the closer side entrance.  Custom stonework in the retaining and seat walls compliments this simplistic project and creates a more natural feeling in a suburban neighborhood.

Sunapee Mountain Retreat

TSL was retained to develop a landscape plan that would modernize the exterior of this newly remodeled ski home.  Implementation of the plan included new walkways, patio areas, and plantings.  A series of retaining walls and stairs allowed for gradual transition of the grades between the front door and the driveway.

Hopkinton Residence

TSL was brought in on this project to create a new entry into the home, with both a steep grade transition and the need for the homeowner to be able to access the entry area with his wheelchair.  Retaining walls made from native fieldstone were used to create a terraced entry.  A curvilinear walkway and circular patio area were designed to emphasize the feeling of fluid motion through the site.

Backyard Pool

A long time client commissioned TSL to design and install a custom pool area in their backyard.  The design included a gunite pool and spa with custom water feature and natural stone coping.  A large patio area and pool house were incorporated as entertainment space to allow for large family gatherings.  The planting plan was developed to juxtapose a native palette with numerous ornamental specimens.  The specimen plants are scattered throughout the project site to create numerous focal points and draw the visitors’ eyes through the site.

Lake Sunapee Home

This project included the design and development of a new front entry, including the creation of stairs and planters.  The design entailed the creation of outdoor patio spaces, a shoreline path, and an outdoor kitchen.  A custom paving pattern was developed to mimic the rose of a compass and tie the landscape into the nautical architecture of the home.
